Dominic J. Bagnoli, Jr., MD, FACEP, FAAEM, serves as chief executive officer of US Acute Care Solutions (USACS), overseeing the strategic direction the company. Dr. Bagnoli founded Emergency Medicine Physicians (EMP) in 1992 and led the company to become one of the largest, fastest-growing, physician-owned emergency medicine organizations in the United States. Believing the best patient outcomes and the best hospital partnerships result when physicians maintain ownership of their practice, he led the creation of US Acute Care Solutions. Dr. Bagnoli now works with other acute care providers, healthcare system leaders and industry experts to grow the company and enhance the patient experience of acute care medicine in the United States. Dr. Bagnoli has served on numerous industry boards, including HMG Holdings, LLC, Healthagen, LLC, and Stat Health Services, Inc. Dr. Bagnoli’s success as an entrepreneur and business visionary has been recognized through his receipt of numerous industry awards such as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and recognition by Harvard Business Club of Northeast Ohio for outstanding entrepreneurship. In addition, his firms have earned distinction as a Weatherhead 100 Fastest Growing Company, and were honored as the Best Employer in Ohio and Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work in Healthcare in the US for six consecutive years. Dr. Bagnoli is a board certified diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine, a fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians and a fellow in the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Bagnoli holds a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and his medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine. He performed his internship and residency at Akron General Medical Center.
Sharon joined US Acute Care Solutions (USACS) from PNC Financial Services, a financial services company company with assets of $345 billion and over 50,000 employees. She served the last two years as the senior vice president – director of talent management. In this role, she led an integrated talent management function consisting of recruiting, talent planning, performance management, succession, leadership development and diversity and inclusion. Sharon has extensive HR experience with a demonstrated track record of collaborating with business leaders to deliver talent solutions that support achieving business outcomes and the creation of strong pipelines of talent to enable future growth. She has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from The Pennsylvania State University.
Steven Eisenberg is general counsel for US Acute Care Solutions. He has more than 20 years' experience providing strategic transactional and regulatory counsel to clients in the health care industry. Steven joins USACS from Cardinal Health, where he was vice president and general council of Cardinal Health at Home. There, he headed the legal and compliance departments, led multiple mergers and acquisitions and was instrumental in developing the business’ overall post-acute care strategy. Before joining Cardinal Health at Home’s executive team, Steven was a partner at Baker & Hostetler, a national law firm, where he practiced corporate and health care law. Steven earned a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from the health law program at DePaul University College of Law and a Juris Doctor degree from Cleveland State University's Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Miami University.
Dave joins USACS from STERIS Corporation, a $2.5B global leader in surgical technologies, infection prevention technologies and consumables. Since 2010 he served as their SVP of Global Operations/Surgical Solutions focusing on operations, quality and continuous improvement. Prior to STERIS, Dave was the VP of Global Operations from 2007-2010 at ConMed Corporation, a publicly-traded medical device company with over $700 million in annual revenue. Prior experience included various executive positions with Invacare and Stryker. Dave earned a BA from Albion College, a MBA from Michigan State University and is certified in Lean Practitioner.
Prior to joining USACS, Dan served in a dual role as chief financial officer and executive vice president of technology at Landmark Health, a private equity backed health care company focused on delivering home-based medical care to chronically ill patients. During his time at Landmark, Dan helped scale the company from concept to 25,000 patients in less than two years, signing five innovative, population risk contracts with health plans. During his tenure at UnitedHealth Group from 2002 to 2013, Dan took on a variety of roles in business development, finance and health care economics. His last position at UnitedHealth was the chief financial officer for the OptumCare division of Optum, which he helped build from a start-up to $4 billion in annual revenue through multiple acquisitions and partnerships with primary care medical groups. Dan graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He earned master's degrees in both mechanical engineering and business from the University of Michigan.
Dr. Scott is a board certified diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a member of the national and state chapters of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is a graduate of the first class of the Scholars Program. Dr. Scott recently earned the professional designation of accredited wealth management advisor (AWMA) from the College for Financial Planning. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University and earned his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at Akron General Medical Center and served as chief resident in his final year.
